Campsite on the island of Giglio, Tuscany, in a splendid position directly on the sea
Our campsite Baia del Sole, the only camping on Giglio Island, is located in the golf of Campese, on the western coast of the Isola del Gilio near the big beach of Giglio Campese.
The campsite is directly locatated on the sea. The typical granite cliffs of the island are flat and comfortable to lie down and offer easy access to the sea, but also rocks for jumping. For all snorkeling lovers there are so many coves to explore and a secca not too far away.
The campsite offers pitches all with sea view of varying sizes for tents, motorhomes and caravans as well as bungalows are available in both masonry and wood. Thanks to the terraced layout, all pitches have a sea view overlooking the beautiful bay of Campese. Exposed to the west offers an average shadow.
We remind you that any form of wild camping is prohibited throughout the territory of the island Giglio and Giannutri.

Pitches and Bungalow
Tent
With the tent you have the choice between the ½ pitch, the ¾ pitch and the large pitch, with the latter being bookable on a weekly basis from Sunday to Sunday. Pitches cannot be booked for small and medium sized tents due to daily changes, but please contact us by phone prior to arrival to check availability in high season.
Campers, caravans and trailers
All pitches for motorhomes, caravans or trailer tents are on the same terraces as tents or bungalows.
Bungalow
Our “TUKUL” brick bungalows have up to 3 beds but no bathroom or kitchen. Inside there is a divisible double bed and a third bed, a chest of drawers and a shelf for storing clothes and belongings. Outside you have your own patio with table, chairs and parasol.
The “CASETTA” bungalows are small wooden tents with up to two beds but no bathroom or kitchen. These are ideal for those who do not need large spaces but do not want to laboriously set up their own tent. In front of the bungalow there is a table with chairs.

Getting to Campeggio Baia del Sole
The campite is located on the west coast of Giglio Island, near the village of Giglio Campese.
From the mainland, the harbour town of Porto Santo Stefano, you reach Giglio Porto, the only harbour on the island, in an hour by ferry. From there, best take the bus in direction of Giglio Campese, it takes only 20 minutes. The campsite has it’s own bus stop “Campeggio” just before the village of Campese, but you have to let the bus driver know that he should stop there. Alternatively, you can also take a taxi or hire a scooter, for example.
